Veronika Klusáková

Executive Board Member, Prague, Czech Republic (2026-2030)

Veronika Klusáková is the Vice-Rector for Scientific Research and Artistic Research Activities and Equal Opportunities at The Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. Since 2020, she has also been the editor-in-chief of ArteActa. She graduated from the Department of Theatre and Film Studies of the Faculty of Arts, Palacký University in Olomouc where she worked as an assistant professor for eight years. She contributed to multiple ESF projects, international conferences as part of the Academia Film Olomouc, and several festivals as a dramaturge. She focuses on the links between history and interdisciplinary theoretical concepts (Southern Gothic and its social/political framework, the representation of childhood from the viewpoint of gender and queer studies, and the aesthetic and performative sources of tomboyism) in film and TV productions. Her latest publication is the collective monograph Jižanská gotika v současných televizních seriálech (NAMU, 2023).
